Equipment

  • Fry Pan

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Wild Turkey cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 cup Chef Robert's Gourmet Breading Mix Original, Cajun or Lemon Pepper
  • 1/3 pan Oil for frying 1/3 pan or deep fry; sunflower, canola, coconut, vegetable, peanut

Instructions

  • Prepare the wild turkey
  • Rinse the wild game meat under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Cut the meat into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a shallow bowl, pour the Chef Robert's Gourmet Breading Mix.
  • Dip each piece of seasoned wild game meat into water or coat with oil to allow the breading to stick
  • Dredge the coated meat in the Chef Robert's Gourmet Breading Mix, pressing gently to adhere the breading to the meat. Make sure the meat is evenly coated with the breading mix.
  • Heat the Oil
  • In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You'll want enough oil to submerge the wild game pieces for frying.
  • Carefully place the breaded wild game pieces into the hot oil, in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pan. Fry for 3-4 minutes, or until the breading is golden brown and the meat is cooked through.
  • Once cooked, use a slotted spoon or tongs to transfer the fried wild game bites to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces, such as barbecue sauce, ranch dressing, or a spicy aioli.
  • Enjoy your tasty Wild Game Bites, perfectly breaded with Chef Robert's Gourmet Breading Mix!
